2017 Ford Raptor F-150 Off Road Machine – VIDEO
Ford unveiled a new video to boost excitement about the 2017 Ford Raptor. The video was filmed in Ocotillo Wells to showcase the new version of one of the most popular off road trucks currently available on the market. In the 2017 model, upgrades such as larger FOX racing shocks and new terrain management technology will be the main selling points. Ford engineers have also increased the travel and updated other parts of the truck. The Raptor’s frame is made from military grade high strength aluminum alloy trimming about 500 pounds from the vehicles weight. The drive-train will feature a 10 speed transmission to accommodate high speed desert racing or slow rock crawling environments.
Lasts years model competed in the 2016 Best in the Desert Mint 400 race in class 1200 (Full size factory stock) and was one of 19/68 trucks that actually even finished the race. Don’t worry though they did have to put in a roll cage! Its amazing to see an eco-boost engine that is now powerful enough to compete with its gas guzzling friends. Beadlock capable wheels with k02 BFG Tires provide optimal grip in the desert environment. We will be sure to release the full specs of the upcoming 2017 Raptor and hope to get our hands on one as soon as they come out!
