F150 prerunner in Texas

by admin on December 31, 2007

2 clips of my f150 prerunner taken not too far from my house today; shot with a cheepo digital camera. Its a daily driver that’s still in progress, and around my house there’s not much terrain to pick from, but Ill have some jumping and more prerunner”ish” clips up before too long

Dixon bros racing makes a nice 4×4 long travel kit for 97-03 f-150

As you can see, where I live isnt all desert, so 4wd really does go a long way in being able to go places and play on stuff that pre-runner type trucks usualy cant go or play on… And I can agree with you on the spendy part, the guy I got the truck from spent BIG bucks on the front end, and Im going to be spending more big bucks to have some nice halfshafts made wthat will hold up… Hopefuly Ill get to finish it soon and make a trip up to Little Saraha…

Yea bro most prerunners are 2wd, but there are 4wd prerunners to its just a little more spendy to make a 4wd prerunner.

alot of teen build up prerunners are 2wd unless its clear desert then 2wd is the way to go, and it takes a person to know what there doin to make a proper 4wd prerunner either way im a fan but i respect the other guys that can make a prerunner outa 4wds

Most prerunners are 2wd, but not always, mine is 4wd when I can keep from braking CV shafts… About to have some chromo shafts with 930 inners made. That should fix teh problem… On most of the Texas offroad stuff 4wd is a must…

H&M also makes a wicked long travel setup for 97-03 F150 4×4′s…

Because I can. Theres not much “prerunner” stuff to play on around here, so I take what I can get. I will have some better videos with more of what this truck is being built for before too long

Thanks, I know what you mean about how the body lines flow… My set up is a lot like the Dixon Bros set up(which I really like), but its one off stuff thats about an inch wider per side than the DB kit

It is 4wd, but I was running in 2wd in this clip. The front end is a long travel set up, about 5.5″ wider per side, and it pulls 16″ of 4wd travel. 2.5×10 KING C/O’s, 2.5×2.5 KING bumps. Some jumping pics will come as soon as Im done building the rear suspension.
